A ten days luxury safari to the western kenya, through Nanyuki, Lake Michaelson - Mount Kenya, Maasai Mara, Fishing in Lake Victoria, Touring the local village and learning a little bit of the Kenyan Luo tribe culture.

Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi

Upon arrival, meet our company representative at The Airport then after short introductions, commence the drive to your hotel in Nairobi. Meal plan - Bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2: Nairobi to Nanyuki

After breakfast, check out from your hotel at 09:00hrs and commence the drive through the lush farmlands to nanyuki arriving at serena Sweetwater's Luxury Game Camp in time to check in and proceed with lunch. After lunch, a short siesta until 3pm then afterwards proceed for game drives in the Sweetwaters's private game sanctuary. The 24,00 acres Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary is currently part of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Formerly called Ol Pejeta Ranch.

Day 3: Fishing at Lake Michelson - Mount kenya

Early wake-up call, then after a cup of tea/coffee, you will be picked up from the camp by the euro-copter - AS 350 which is adapted to fly East Africa's hot and humid environments. proceed for a morning sightseeing tour of Mount kenya - Africa's Second Highest mountain. you will see the blue green Lake Michelson sparkle in the morning sun. The lake is almost inaccessible by foot and located well off the beaten truck in a deep crater which falls away to a spectacular valley. enjoy picnic breakfast and to fish on the lake and catch a big trout.

Day 4: Nanyuki to Maasai mara

After breakfast in the morning by - 8 am, check out of the camp and you will be driven to the airstrip where you board the scheduled flight to Maasai Mara which arrives by 10 am. On arrival you will be met by your driver-guide based in the Maasai Mara Camp, freshen up, relax then at 1:30pm enjoy a sumptous meal for lunch. After lunch you have some time time to rest and marvel at your camp and the surrounding with option to go for an evening game drive at 4pm. Governors Camp is located close to the mara river in the maasai mara national reserve.

Day 5: Full day at Maasai Mara

Depart from your hotel after breakfast with your picnic lunch boxes and proceed to spend the full day in Maasai Mara with game drives in the morning and afternoon hours. It sure ia a sight to behold, the animals in their natural habitats and in their elements. It can be a humbling experience, but also an amazing one, to visit with these incrediblle beasts. You will enjoy a picnic lunch, Dinner and overnight at Governors Camp.

Day 6: Balloon Safari in the Maasai Mara

Wake up to a cup of tea/coffee at 5:30am, Then you are driven to the take off site where you meet your qualified pilot. As dawn breaks watch the rainbow colored ballon slowly fill with air and rise into the air. Ballon safari in the Maasai Mara is one of the most magical experiences you can take part in when visiting the Maasai Mara. Enjoy a bird's eye-view of the wildlife below and afterwards descend to ascenic champagne breakfast cooked on the balloons burners and served on the savannah plains. When all is ready, you will be helped into the stout wicker basket ballon, and rise up into the cool of the morning air. Driven by wind and guided by jets of hot air from gas burners. The ballon flies for 45 minutes. Celebrate your flight with a glass of chilled champagne, and a full english breakfast. then spend the rest of the day at leisure in your camp. All the rest of the meals are served at the Governors Main Camp.

Day 7: Fishing on Lake Victoria

Fish both the Nile perch and Tilapia, at Mfangano Island camp there are s number of fishing boats whiich have been well equipped for trawling for nile perch. The Nile Perch is the king of the lakes's fish. it can grow to 1.8 meters (6 feet) long, and weigh 140 Kgs (300pounds). Fish of 5 to 15 kilos are regularly caught and a very delicious. casting for tilapia at sunset, with a glass of chilled white whine, is a pleasant way to spend an evening. Whilst you are fishing you can enjoy the bird-life resident along the lake shore, the families of otters amongst the rocks and colorful luo fishing villages along the shore. You can the savour freshly caught fish for lunch or dinner, prepared by our expert local chefs. Later in evening return to Mfangano island camp/similar after sunset for dinner, and overnight.

Day 8: Tour of the Local village

After breakfast you will have time to visit the local village and learn about their culture. the luo culture and traditions are very different from those of other parts of kenya, and staying at Mfangano island camp, there is a possibility to sample this colorful culture. Villages dot the shores of lake victoria, and the main activities are fishing and trading in Nile Perch and Tilapia. The tour is arranged to see the local village, it takes half an hour, along the picturesque lakeshore. The residents here are very friendly and will happily show you around their village. it is also possible to visit the local school, which has been re-built with the help of mfangano Island camp and other generous guests.

Day 9: Mfangano Island to Maasai mara to Nairobi

Breakfast at the hotel then check out at 1000hrs, your drive guide will drive you to the airstrip in order to catch your flight back to Maasai Mara where you will connect on to your scheduled flight back to Nairobi, you will arrive in nairobi in the afternoon then you will be driven to the Sovereign Suites hotel where you will spend your last night before departure the next day.

Day 10: Departure

Depending on your flight timings, you will be picked from your hotel in nairobi and then you will be driven to the main airport - JKIA to catch your Flight
